ENVIRO-CLEAN (SCOTLAND) LTD – LOW RISK OPERATOR
Enviro-Clean (Scotland) Ltd have moved into the ‘Low Risk Operator’ band for the UK Government Transport Office, Operator Compliance Risk Score – OCRS.
The investment made in the fleet over the last 18 months has resulted in a significant increase in its general reliability and reduction in daily fault reporting and workshop time.
Findlay Robertson, Group Transport Manager commented, ‘This is a great achievement for the Enviro-Clean team. Everyone from the drivers and the garage to the compliance team and the directors, and also our valued suppliers, worked together to ensure our road fleet has been upgraded to modern reliable units, requiring less maintenance and repairs.’
Findlay continues, ‘By specifying automatic gearboxes as standard, we have reduced the number of clutch and gearbox failures and in turn recovery costs, even when it’s with our own recovery unit. The workshop savings in parts and labour, combined with greater utilisation of the vehicles, pay for the investment costs for the new vehicles. It is the way forward from now on – invest to reduce costs and increase our compliance.’
